I’ve already covered how I’m not the biggest fan of scary things in a previous Blogtober post, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like spooky things!
Black Cats
It saddens me to learn that black cats take 13% longer to re-home than other cats of other colours.
I’m not superstitious at all, and I do think that it is pretty silly that simply being a black cat makes it harder for them to find a loving home. Black cats rule, so please make sure you’re not overlooking your perfect kitty simply because of the colour of its fur.
Witches and wizards
It doesn’t matter whether it’s Harry Potter or The Worst Witch, I absolutely love the thought of magic being a real thing.
My parents went to Glastonbury (the place, not the festival) before I was born, and they’re adamant that I get my love of fantasy (and my weird love of all things mystical and magic) from there!
Ghosts (the nice kind)
Again, I want to reiterate that I’m not at all superstitious. However, there have been times where I have experienced things that I can’t explain.
There was one time after my paternal nana passed away, the night before her funeral I heard a flute playing a soothing tune. This was at about 3am and no one else in the house was awake. It was strange.
There was also the time when I was in Sheffield and having a shower and heard the same nana shout my name, clear as day. Weird, huh?
What are your favourite spooky things?
