Remembrance Sunday- Lest we forget

I feel like I need to post something today. It is Remembrance Sunday and I’m finding it incredibly difficult not to think about my grandad today.

Although he wasn’t fighting on the front lines, he served his time when he was called up for national service. He lost many of his friends and family during the wars and I know he thought about them every year on remembrance Sunday.

It is quite fitting that it’s us that are remembering him this year. He has done so much for us as a family and not once did he ever say no, even when he should have done. We are definitely finding it hard without him, but he has now got the rest and peace that he has deserved.

I wish that I had a photo of him from that time to put in this post but I believe they are all at my nana’s house.

Lest we forget. We will remember them.
